Add-on · Form 5472 — waitlist

The $25,000 form most foreign founders have never heard of. We will not let it surprise you.

A single-member LLC owned by a foreign person is disregarded for US tax purposes — and precisely because of that, the IRS treats it as a corporation for one purpose: it must file Form 5472 with a pro-forma Form 1120 every year, reporting transactions with its foreign owner. There is no tax due with it. The penalty for not filing starts at $25,000 per year.

Set by the preparer; quoted before any engagement — take the intake quiz or go to checkout.

Where this service stands — plainly

Form 5472 is tax preparation, and tax preparation belongs to a qualified preparer. This add-on is delivered by a tax preparer engaged for the service, and that engagement is not in place yet — so the filing service is waitlist-only today. We will not sell you a filing we cannot yet deliver, and we will not imply a preparer exists who does not. Pricing will be set by the preparer and quoted before any engagement.

Join the waitlist. Tell us your entity’s formation state and ownership shape, and we will write the moment the preparer engagement opens — with the quoted price in the email, before you commit to anything.

What starts on day one, regardless

  • The obligation is on your compliance calendar from formation, dated and explained — a Launch or Hosted client never discovers Form 5472 from an IRS notice.
  • A plain-language briefing of what the form reports: capital contributions, distributions, loans, and payments between you and your company — the records to keep through the year, which are simple if kept contemporaneously and painful if reconstructed.
  • Our full explainer in the Form 5472 guide: who must file, what counts as a reportable transaction, and how the penalty actually applies.

The honest edges

Sethhost is not a tax firm and gives no tax advice. What we own is the calendar, the explanation, and the coordination — and the discipline of telling you this service is a waitlist while others would happily have sold it to you in a bundle.

Filing processing fee: 3% of the total order amount, charged by our fulfillment provider, CorpNet, where it applies to your order, including on pass-through charges within the order. It is shown as its own itemized line at checkout and is not Sethhost revenue.

Questions on this filing

My LLC has no income. Do I still file?

The duty attaches to the ownership structure, not to profitability: a foreign-owned single-member LLC with reportable transactions — including simply funding the company — generally files even with no income. Your preparer confirms your facts; the calendar assumes the duty until told otherwise.

Can Sethhost file it without the preparer?

No, and that is deliberate. We do not prepare tax filings we are not qualified to sign our work on.

When will the waitlist open?

When the preparer engagement is signed, not before. Waitlist members hear first, with pricing, and joining costs nothing and obliges you to nothing.
