Legal
Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026. This is a plain-language draft, pending review by a licensed attorney. The service agreement describes the services themselves; these terms govern your use of the site and accounts.
1. The basics
These terms apply when you use sethhost.com, take the intake quiz, check out, or use the client portal. By using the site or buying services, you agree to these terms and to the service agreement. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
Sethhost is not a law firm and does not provide legal or tax advice. Nothing on this site is legal or tax advice, and nothing here creates an attorney–client relationship.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with a magic link sent to your email — no password. Keep your email account secure; anyone with access to it can access your portal.
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts.
- One account per client; don't share portal access with people who shouldn't see your documents and mail.
3. Services and pricing
- Launch: $499 one-time. Charged once at checkout; does not renew.
- Hosted: $79 per month, billed monthly in advance, auto-renewing until you cancel.
- State filing fees are separate and passed through at filing. They are not Sethhost revenue and are never bundled into our headline prices.
- Partner add-ons (tax filing via partner CPA, bookkeeping referral) are priced by the partner and quoted before any engagement.
- Prices are in US dollars. We may change prices for new purchases; existing subscriptions keep their price while continuous (we'll say so plainly if that ever changes).
4. Renewal and cancellation
Hosted renews automatically each month. You can cancel anytime from your portal; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No calls, no retention scripts. If a payment fails, we'll notify you and may suspend Hosted services until it's resolved.
5. Acceptable use
- Provide true, accurate information — filings are legal documents; false information can have legal consequences for you.
- Don't use the site or services for unlawful activity, fraud, or to misrepresent your business.
- Don't attempt to access other clients' accounts, probe the site's security, or scrape the site at abusive rates.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, copy, and code are Sethhost's. Your business's content — your name, logo, copy, and filings — is yours. Websites we build for you are yours to keep, including if you cancel Hosted (hosting and care stop; the site files are delivered to you on request).
7. Third parties
Parts of the service run through third parties: the payment processor at checkout, the wholesale registered-agent partner for all states (disclosed by name in your service agreement), the partner CPA for tax filings, and the bookkeeping referral partner. Their terms apply to their parts; we're responsible for coordinating them, not for their independent decisions (including bank or payment-processor approvals).
8. Disclaimers and limits
The site and services are provided as described in the service agreement. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid for the services giving rise to a claim. We're not liable for third-party timelines (IRS, states, banks), outcomes we expressly don't promise (EIN timing, account approvals, tax results), or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the attorney review completes or the services evolve; material changes will be communicated before they take effect. Continued use after notice means acceptance. Questions: contact us.
Registered agent services are provided by our wholesale registered-agent partner, disclosed by name in your service agreement.
